Leicester's Only Pub Theatre

Upstairs at the Western is Leicester’s pub theatre. We prioritise the work of women and non-binary artists. We are a 42 seat black box theatre with full tech and projection.

We are above the fabulously renovated ‘The Western’ – a much loved community pub now with Cafe West in the heart of Leicester’s vibrant West End!

Our small team of Directors run Upstairs voluntarily and are we are given great support by our landlords and the wonderful community around us.

Support Upstairs at The Western

We are a non profit CIC with a team of volunteers running the place from front of house and technicians through to our team of directors. If you value our work please consider donating to support our work
