Brazen
THIS EVENT WAS RESCHEDULED FROM SEPTEMBER!
Brazen’ is a spoken word journey exploring coming of age, the nature of adolescent idolatry and the difficulty in just being yourself.
Using autobiographical storytelling, poetry, physical theatre, music and audience participation, ‘Brazen’ is inspired by a deep connection to The Doors and their charismatic front man Jim Morrison. Poignant, shameless, funny, unpredictable and ultimately celebratory in the face of adversity, it’s about our complicated relationship with bravery, the people who inspire us, the power of their music and the universal need to just dance till you feel like you again.
‘Brazen’ charts an awkward adolescence in a quiet seaside town, to the seductive alleyways of Paris on a night that changed everything, to a stormy encounter in a bedroom, culminating in a full on Bacchanalian dance-off where the audience are invited to join the party.
Sometimes the wildest thing you can do is be yourself.
Tickets are £12 in advance and on the door.
